As indicated below in the official announcement trailer for the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, the title will not only be releasing for Nintendo Switch on September 18, 2018, but also for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as well. For $20, the compendium of games includes Final Fight, Captain Commando, The King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, Warriors of Fate, Armored Warriors, and Battle Circuit, with this being the first time that the two lattermost titles have ever been officially playable on a home console.
According to Capcom, the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle will support up to four-player local and online multiplayer at launch, and the compilation of classics will be released on the same day that Nintendo launches its paid online service for Switch. It is worth noting, though, that each game’s multiplayer options and online capabilities will vary. As bonus features, Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle will also include “detailed galleries,” adjustable difficulty settings, as well as the option to choose between playing the English or Japanese version of each game in the bundle.
All things considered, the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle looks like a bargain when one thinks about the sheer amount of gameplay that one can get out of the package. While the bundle’s couch co-op features will likely be welcome by fans on each of its supported platforms, the Nintendo Switch will have the added advantage of portability. With this being the case, $20 for an on-the-go arcade experience on the Switch sounds like fantastic idea on the surface.
